Ellis Jasenovic

Ellis Jasenovic holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Montclair State University. He has taught at John F. Kennedy High School in Paterson NJ, working as an instrumental music teacher, assistant marching band director and woodwind technician, as well as a guest clinician for the New Jersey Youth Orchestra and other groups. He has also devoted several years to working with the Hackettstown Community Band, serving as their conductor. 

Having a love of composition, Mr. Jasenovic has composed and arranged a various number of pieces for a variety of ensembles, ranging from smaller chamber groups such as saxophone and tuba-euphonium quartets and to large ensembles such as works for choir and symphonic band. 

In addition to his teaching career, Ellis has performed with the One More Once Big Band, the Garden State Saxophone Quartet and the progressive-rock band Thank You Scientist. While playing with Thank You Scientist, he recorded two full-length albums and played several cross-country tours, often extending into Canada. 

Ellis Jasenovic is the Assistant Band Director at Verona High School, and resides in Montclair, NJ.

This coming school year marks Miss Barry's seventh year as an educator but her first here at Northern Valley Demarest. She spent the last six years teaching in West Milford. Over the course of her time there she taught in several of the elementary schools, middle and high school. She taught a variety of select ensembles over the years as well as directing the middle school musical. Miss Barry also teaches private voice, piano and guitar to a variety of students at Standing Ovation Music Academy. She has over ten years of experience in teaching and performing classical voice, broadway and opera.Miss Barry graduated from Montclair State University in 2013 with a BM in Music Education with a concentration in voice. She was featured on Grammy Nominee Meredith Monk’s album, Songs of Ascension and has performed numerous times with the NJSO around the tristate area.Miss Barry is beyond excited to join the NVD music staff and thoroughly looks forward to inspiring and encouraging another group of young musicians.

2019-2020 marks Ms. Delesky’s 6th year teaching in the Northern Valley Demarest High School.  Lauren Delesky is the instrumental music teacher at Northern Valley Regional High School Demarest where she teaches the Concert Band, Wind Symphony, String Orchestra, and Marching Band.  She attended the Indiana university of Pennsylvania where she received her bachelors in music education with a focus on clarinet and a minor in voice and piano.   Lauren was also a member of the Keystone Wind Ensemble and performed with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra on Aaron Copland's Clarinet Concerto. She earned her Masters degree in instrumental conducting from a Montclair State University to study wind conducting with Dr. Thomas McCauley.  She is currently a member of the Teaneck Community Band and was a guest conductor with the group this past summer.
